Our Story

A couple of years ago, Christina and Stephanie sat down at brunch together and started talking about their favorite things about veterinary medicine and their shared love of patient and client care. They started thinking about how great it would be if they could partner together and develop a practice that focused on fostering long term relationships with clients, providing plenty of time for appointments to answer clients’ questions without feeling rushed, and performing treatments on pets in a low-stress environment. After many months (and more brunches!), Pinnacle Home Veterinary Services was born.

PHVS promises to provide an exceptional level of service to our clients and comprehensive care to our patients. We are committed to a high standard of ethics, emphasizing honesty, integrity, transparency, and accountability in all we do. We are so excited to share our expertise and enthusiasm with you and hope that you and your pet will enjoy being part of our Pinnacle family!

Meet Our Team

Christina Piola Rouse

DVM

Dr. Rouse was one of "those kids” who knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a very young age. She grew up in Waterbury, CT and started working in a local animal hospital in high school, then continued on this career path throughout college. She graduated from Fairfield University with a B.S. in Biology in 2003, took a year off to immerse herself in the veterinary clinic full time while applying to veterinary schools, and ultimately attended the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at VA Tech.

She graduated with her D.V.M. and achieved her VA state license in 2008. Dr. Rouse has been working as a veterinarian in Northern Virginia ever since. Her favorite part about being a veterinarian is developing long term relationships with clients and being able to provide care to a dog or cat through all stages of its life. Dr. Rouse also enjoys being active in the community and speaks regularly to students and scouts about pet health and life as a veterinarian. She is a member of both local and national veterinary associations, is USDA accredited, and participates in mentorship programs for both current veterinary students as well as high school students interested in a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Rouse lives in Ashburn with her husband, Devin, their children, Morgan and Owen, their 3 dogs, Mozart, Summer, and Maggie, and their cat Ripken. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cheering on the Hokies, Capitals, Yankees, and Patriots (don't worry - her husband doesn't understand this combo of teams either...), and exploring all that Loudoun County has to offer. Dr. Rouse is so excited about the opportunity to provide house call services and to be able to engage with clients on a more personal level every day.
